If you want to learn more about the dangers of wild parsnip and what is being done in Lanark County to combat the noxious plant, there is an information workshop on Saturday in the village of Lanark. Scheduled for 9 a.m. until noon on April 30th at the Lanark Civitan Hall, the session is being offered by the Lanark Stewardship Council and will feature a number of experts and representatives from the health unit.
You will learn how to identify the plant, the risks to your health, pesticide use, and management options.
There will be discussion on how the City of Ottawa is combating wild parsnip and how Lanark County plans to control it. You are invited to ask questions and share your opinions.
