½ C butter

2 squares unsweetened chocolate

1 C white sugar

2 eggs

½ C crushed pineapple, drained

½ tsp vanilla

1 C flour

½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

½ C chopped walnuts

Melt the butter and chocolate over a low heat. Beat sugar and eggs together. Stir in the melted chocolate. Stir in the drained pineapple. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the chocolate mixture. Stir well. Spread in a greased 9” pan. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.

Ice with the following icing:

1 ½ C icing sugar

3 tbsp butter

5 tsp pineapple juice

Beat these ingredients together and spread over the cooled brownies.
