SATURDAY DECEMBER 8th – Renfrew County paramedics will be out collecting food…toys and money this weekend. It’s their 7th annual Christmas toy and Food Drive on Saturday…and it’ll be happening at the Walmart in Renfrew from 9am until 6pm. 100% of the proceeds will be going to the Salvation army Christmas Hamper program and the Renfrew and area Food Bank. Every paramedic on scene will be there out of the goodness of their own they’ll all be vounteering their time to make this a success. Since 2011 the County of Renfrew paramedics and volunteers have collected 1,774 toys, 3,341 items of food and $13,992 in cash donations, which is split between both charities. – AC
