Two public town hall meetings are set for Arnprior and Pembroke with a focus on the proposed Energy East Pipeline development that is expected to pass through Renfrew County, if approved.
The town hall sessions will feature three speakers discussing the environmental risks and benefits of the project, as well as local energy and sustainability. There will also be a special guest speaker from Environmental Defence to talk about the pipeline project. There will be a Q&A session for the public.
The meeting in Arnprior is Oct. 1st at the Galilee Centre, and the Pembroke town hall will be the following evening at the Marguerite Centre.

The town halls are being organized by the Bonnechere River Watershed Project, the Ottawa River Institute, the Valley Climate Circle, and Environmental Defence.
