In Jr B hockey, the Renfrew Timberwolves lead the Valley Division and thanks to a trade on Monday, the team has bolstered an already impressive lineup.
The ‘Wolves picked up reigning league MVP and Top Scorer Blair Barr from the Almonte Thunder and didn’t trade anyone from the current roster.
Going the other way will be a Player Development Fee and two 16-year-old cards for the 2015-16 season.
Barr, a 21-year-old who has played on the wing and as a defenceman, is on the move for the second time this year, having been traded from the Perth Blue Wings earlier in the season to Almonte for five players.
Barr has been one of the top Jr B players in the league since the 2009-10 season with 306 points in 229 games. He also played for the CCHL champion Carleton Place Canadians late last season and was on the roster during their long Jr A playoff run.
