TEA BISCUITS

2 C flour
1 tbsp white sugar
4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 C butter
1 egg, beaten
2/3 C milk

Combine the dry ingredients.  Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly.  Combine egg and milk, and stir into dry ingredients.  Mix until the dough is soft.  Turn out onto floured surface.  Roll out to 3/4″ thickness.  Cut with a floured cutter.  Bake at 450 degrees F for about 14 minutes.
