1 ¾ C flour

3 tsp baking powder

¼ C butter

½ C white sugar

1 egg

¾ C milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 C fresh strawberries, sliced

1 tbsp flour (second amount)

Combine the flour & baking powder.  Cream the butter and sugar and beat in the egg until smooth.  Stir in the milk and vanilla and mix well.  Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.  Combine the strawberries and flour (second amount) and fold into the batter.  Fill greased muffin tins and bake at 350°F for about 25 – 30 minutes.
