Last Tuesday a school bus was stopped on Highway 17 in Laurentian Hills with its safety lights flashing, but one driver didn’t seem to care.
Police received a report that a vehicle failed to stop for the school bus, and the OPP are reminding all drivers that if you come upon a school bus with red signal lights flashing, you are required by law to stop and not proceed until the bus moves, or the overhead lights have stopped flashing.
For those who don’t and are caught, the minimum fine is $400.
