Cobden’s Jared Steege is on the move as he was traded Monday by the OHL’s North Bay Battalion to the Kingston Frontenacs.

The 18-year-old forward is a former Ottawa Valley Titan, Pembroke Lumber King, and Arnprior Packer, who is in his second OHL season. This year he has six goals and 12 points in 34 games with the Battalion.

Frontenacs GM Doug Gilmour said Steege has an offensive upside and will play centre with the club.

Last year with North Bay, Steege had 12 points in 48 games as a rookie, and prior to joining the Battalion, he was the Jr B Rookie of the Year with the Packers, scoring 37 goals and 70 points in 40 games.
