SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

½ C soft butter

1 C white sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

2 C flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder

1 C sour cream

Topping:

½ C chopped walnuts

½ C brown sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

Topping: combine the ingredients and set aside.

Cream the butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla and mix well.  Combine the dry ingredients and add alternately with the sour cream.  Mix well.  Spread half of the batter in a greased 9″ pan.  Sprinkle half of the topping over the batter and cover with the remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining topping.  Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes.
