2 C dried split peas
1 C diced ham
1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
½ C diced celery
1 C chopped onions
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. parsley flakes
½ chicken bouillon cube
5 C water
Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker and stir. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours or on high for 4 – 5 hours.
