Police are investigating after a local school official seized a cell phone from a student with pictures which might be considered child pornography.
Renfrew OPP say that teenagers will sometimes send sexual photos of themselves to boyfriends or girlfriends, not realizing what they are sending may be considered child pornography. And if the photos are texted or shared with others, it may be considered distributing child porn.
Police are urging parents to talk about the issue with their kids and discourage them from sexting.
In order not to identify the victims, the school will not be named.
