1 large onion, finely chopped

4 tbsp. canola oil

1 C ketchup

1 C water

4 tbsp. white vinegar

4 tbsp. white sugar

1 C hot dog relish

1 tsp. salt

12 wieners

12 buns

Cook the onion in the oil until tender.  Add the ketchup, water, vinegar, sugar, relish and salt.  Stir well.  Cut the wieners in half lengthwise and score gently.  Add the wieners to the sauce and heat thoroughly.  Serve wieners in buns and drizzle extra sauce over the top.
