Road work begins today (Aug. 24) in White Lake, so anyone travelling in the area should expect some slowdowns in the days ahead.
The road rehabilitation and reconstruction project will continue for the next two weeks, and will be in the village between the bridge on Burnstown Road and the bridge on the White Lake Road.
Renfrew County officials are asking that people be prepared to decrease their speed while driving in the area.
Smiths Construction will be doing the work.
If you use the Stafford Third Line in Laurentian Valley, there will be a road closure beginning next week between White Water Road and Saars Lane.
The County of Renfrew will be tearing up that stretch of road to fix a culvert from August 31st until September 11th. During that time the area will be closed to all through traffic and detours will be posted.
