Residents assaulted in home invasions

THIEVES BREAK INTO RENFREW HOME
On Thursday at approximately 8:20 p.m., officers of the Renfrew OPP responded to a break and enter at a residence on Dominion St, Renfrew.
Unknown suspects entered the residence through a side door, threatened and assaulted the adult resident of the home. The suspects fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1
• Heavy-set
• Approximately 5’5” to 5’6”
• Grey ski mask
• Glasses
• Mole under his right eye
• French speaking
• Dark grey jacket
• Dark pants
Suspect #2
• Dark black hair
• Blue ski jacket
The OPP Canine Unit attended, but was unable to locate the suspects. If anyone has information about this crime, please contact the Renfrew OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 613-432-3221.

WHITEWATER MAN CHARGED AFTER HOME INVASION

A 19-year-old man faces charges including robbery and forcible confinement after a home invasion that police said sent an elderly Pembroke-area woman to hospital. Codie Dufault of Whitewater Region Township was arrested in the Nov. 16 robbery in the village of Beachburg, Ontario Provincial Police said Thursday. Police did not provide details on the victim’s injuries.

MISSING MAN FOUND DEAD

On November 18, the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP was advised to be on the lookout for a missing 62-year-old man. Unfortunately, Randy Clouthier was located deceased off Hunt Camp Lane in North Frontenac Township on November 19.  A post-mortem was conducted on the 21st of November, and the investigation continues.
