The town of Renfrew is trying to get all its ducks lined up so that the downtown core reconstruction project can be as painless as possible. The project is expected to start in the Spring and will cost 6 million dollars but the good news is that 3 million of that will be coming from Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation. At a recent meeting 36 people showed up to hear what was going on and to voice their opinions. there will be another meeting in December with officials saying they will present a more detailed plan at the time. Construction will include streetscaping watermains. sanitary sewers accessibility upgrades among others. The work is expected to be completed by November”ish”.
