
2 C flour
1 tbsp. white sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
½ C cold butter, cubed
1/3 C raisins
½ C milk
3 tbsp. maple syrup
Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt & cinnamon and cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the raisins. Combine the milk & maple syrup and add to the mixture mixing just until moistened. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 8 – 10 times. Cut with a floured biscuit cutter. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 450°F for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.
