The Ottawa Valley is under a freezing rain warning today as the patchy freezing drizzle this morning is expected to turn to freezing rain this afternoon.
Environment Canada is saying that a few hours of intermittent freezing rain is in the forecast and that should change to rain late in the day as the temperature climbs above zero.
Highways, roads, sidewalks and parking lots may become icy and slippery. People are asked to be careful while driving or while on foot.
The unseasonal temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week, with rain, fog, and even a thunderstorm, on the horizon for Christmas Eve.
