ORANGE PECAN LOAF
2/3 C white sugar
¼ C butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C orange juice
2 C flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
2/3 C chopped pecans
Glaze:
½ C white sugar
1 – 2 tbsp. orange juice
Beat the sugar, butter and eggs together. Combine the flour and baking powder. Add the vanilla to the orange juice. Add the dry ingredients alternately to the butter mixture with the orange juice. Fold in the pecans. Spread the batter in a prepared loaf pan and bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
Glaze: combine the sugar with the orange juice and pour over the cooled loaf.
