1/3 C butter
1 C white sugar
1 C sour cream
2 C flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 orange rind, grated
1 C raisins
Juice of 1 orange
1/3 C white sugar (second amount)
Combine the juice and sugar and set aside.
Cream together the butter, sugar, egg & grated orange rind and set aside. Combine the flour, baking soda and baking powder and add alternatively with the sour cream to the butter mixture. Fold in the raisins. Spread the batter in a greased 13X9ʺ pan and bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
While the cake is still warm, pour the juice over the cake.
