OPP lay charges

Police have charged seven area residents with various offences in connection with the trafficking and possession of cocaine.

The OPP say a 28-year-old Ottawa man was supplying cocaine to street level traffickers in Lanark County. During their investigation, police located and seized quantities of cocaine, Ecstasy, Fentanyl patches, and marijuana at a location on Agincourt Road in Ottawa.

On Rosetta Road in Lanark, police seized drugs, cash, and a sawed-off shot gun with ammunition. Cocaine and marijuana were also found in locations on Beckwith Street and Drummond Street in Perth.

Charges have been laid against three Perth men ages 19, 23, and 59 and two women from Perth ages 28 and 53. Two Lanark women ages 30 and 58 are also facing drug charges.
