November 11th will be a day one Ottawa man will remember for some time as he was arrested and faces a number of charges after an officer stopped to help him and realized the man was impaired. In fact , just after 1 in the morning police pulled over on Highway 17 near Kohlsmith Road to assist after spotting a vehicle parked with its 4-way flashers going. The driver told the officer he’d run out of gas but upon investigation it was discovered he’d been drinking and when the vehicle was searched cocaine was found, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and ammunition. The 27-year-old man was also currently on a 10-year court order prohibiting him for possessing firearms or ammunition. In addition to drunk driving … drug … and ammunition charges, he was also charged for driving while under suspension and without a currently validated permit.
