The Town of Renfrew, in consultation with the Renfrew County District Health Unit has issued a Boil Water Advisory until further notice for all properties located north of the Bonnechere River. The advisory is being issued due to a major watermain break experienced Monday. Residents and businesses are welcome to contact the Town of Renfrew at 613-432-4848, or the Town’s Website at www.renfrew.ca.

Arnprior residents who were displaced by an apartment fire last Tuesday on First Ave won’t be going home just yet. Officials say it could be another week before they’re allowed back. The Canadian Red Cross was on hand to lend support…but have turned things over to social and victim services.

On Wednesday June 6 Killaloe OPP, stopped a motor vehicle to check for driver sobriety, in the Township of North Algona Wilberforce. The male driver was found to be under the influence of drugs. 37 yr. old Jamie CROWDER of Ottawa has been charged with Impaired Operation by Drug, and Refusal to Comply with Demand and two counts of Suspended Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His vehicle was towed and impounded.

Congratulations to Kevin Gleiser of Chalk River after winning $1 million in the MAXMILLIONS LOTTO MAX draw June 8. The winning ticket was purchased at Chalk Variety on Main Street in Chalk River.
