There is now a full fire ban in effect for all of Lanark County. There had been a partial ban in effect for the county but the new ban means that absolutely no burning of any sort is permitted. The dry conditions and lack of precipitation in the forecast are getting the blame. In general, a full burning ban means a total fire ban prohibiting the burning of debris, burning in an outdoor incinerato, chimneys, setting off fireworks and campfires of any type. For regulations specific to your community, please contact your local municipality.
