A new bus service will launch this week in the Ottawa Valley as Ontario Northland will go between Sudbury and Ottawa three days a week, starting on Thursday.
There will be stops in Petawawa, Pembroke, and Renfrew with flag stops in Deep River, Chalk River, Cobden, and Arnprior. At flag stops, the bus will stop if the driver knows there is passenger there.
The Renfrew Mercury is reporting the service will be assessed after a six-month period.
The new service is welcome news for Upper Valley residents following recent drastic cuts to the local schedule by Greyhound Canada.
