In Jr A hockey, the Pembroke Lumber Kings are the hottest team in the CCHL, but will have their toughest test of the season this weekend with a home-and-home series against the league-leading Carleton Place Canadians.
Tonight Pembroke is in Carleton Place for a 7:45 start, and are back home at the PMC Sunday night. Puck drop is 7 o’clock on a special night where former Lumber Kings coach, and current Ottawa Senators General Manager Bryan Murray, will be honoured.
The game is dedicated to raising awareness for colon cancer in Murray’s name, with proceeds from a raffle being donated to the Ottawa Integrated Cancer Centre. Raffle items include signed NHL jerseys, Senators tickets, Lumber Kings season tickets, and a golf package.
Doors open at the PMC at 6 o’clock.
