Mexican Candy Bars

6 oz butterscotch chips

½ C butter

½ C brown sugar

1 ¼ C flour

1 C slivered almonds

1 C candied fruit

¼ C raisins

1 tbsp white sugar

1 tbs[ grated orange rind

2 eggs, slightly beaten

 

Combine the first 5 ingredients and press into a 13 X 9” greased pan.  Bake at 350° F for 15 minutes.  Combine the remaining ingredients and spread over the cooked base.  Return to oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
