
A five-car collision closed down a section of Highway 17 west of Arnprior Tuesday afternoon.
Police say five people were injured, with three of the victims suffering serious injuries. One of the injured was airlifted to hospital, while the other four were taken by paramedics.
The collision occurred west of Campbell Drive in the Township of McNab-Braeside, in a construction zone where work continues for the next phase of widening Highway 17 towards Renfrew.
Traffic was rerouted throughout the day and night and the highway reopened this Wednesday morning.
