1/3 C soft butter

1 pkge. (85 g) cream cheese, softened

¾ C white sugar

1 egg yolk

1 ½ tsp. almond flavouring

2 tsps. orange juice

1 ¼ C flour

2 tsp. baking powder

5 C coconut, divided

Chocolate kisses

Cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light & fluffy.  Combine the egg yolk, almond extract and juice and add to the creamed mixture.  Combine the flour & baking powder and gradually add to the creamed mixture.  Stir in 3 C of coconut.  Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.  Shape into 1” balls and roll in remaining coconut.  Place 2” apart on parchment lined baking sheets.  Bake at 350°F for 10 – 12 minutes or until lightly browned.  Remove from oven and immediately place a chocolate kiss on top of each macaroon.  Cool 5 minutes and remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
