Organizers of the Arnprior Zombie Walk are happy with the turnout. Taking place on Saturday, zombie’s trudged their way through the downtown core raising money for the Arnprior Food Bank. Folks from all over the surrounding area were in attendance with some people coming from as far away as Ottawa.
Meanwhile the Zombie run that took place on a section of Renfrew’s County’s new Algonquin Trail system on Saturday morning raised a lot of money. Hundreds of people showed up at Algonquin college to participate with the event raising almost 35-thousand dollars. It was their biggest event ever and their goal was to bring in enough money so that 2kms of trail could be added to the existing waterfront trails on the Algonquin Trail. In doing so it would allow community members to travel from Riverside Park to Petawawa.
