LEMON CUSTARD SQUARES

Base:

1 C flour

1 C graham wafer crumbs

1 C coconut

1 C brown sugar

½ tsp soda

½ C butter

Combine the ingredients and press half of it into an 8ʺ pan.

Filling:

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 egg yolks

½ C lemon juice

Beat the ingredients together for 1 minute and pour over the base.

Topping:

2 egg whites

2 tbsp white sugar

Beat the egg whites and sugar together until stiff.  Spread over the filling.  Sprinkle with the reserved crumbs.  Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
