Boil the raisins in the water, remove from heat and cool. Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla and cooled raisins to the creamed mixture. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture. Chill the dough. Roll the dough into 1 1/2ʺ balls and place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F for about 12 – 15 minutes.
