1 C water

2 C seedless raisins

1 C butter

2 C white sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

4 C flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp cinnamon

1 C chopped walnuts

Boil the water and raisins together for 5 minutes.  Remove from heat & cool.  Cream the butter, sugar and eggs together.  Fold in the vanilla and boiled raisin mixture.  Combine the dry ingredients, add to the creamed mixture and mix well.  Add the walnuts.  Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie sheets.  Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes.
