6 qts. cucumbers

1 qt. onions

1 qt. cabbage

4 red peppers

4 green peppers

4 qt. green tomatoes

Put all the ingredients through a food processor.  Sprinkle with ½ C coarse pickling salt and let stand in a crock overnight.  Drain in the morning.


2 qts. vinegar

8 C white sugar

1 tsp. celery seed

2/3 C flour

1 tsp. turmeric

A piece of bluestone the size of a pea will colour it.

Bring the ingredients to a boil and boil for ¾ hour.  Pour over the vegetables and ladle into hot jars and seal.
