PRESS RELEASE – Pictured below is Maureen Sullivan-Bentz, Hospice Renfrew Executive Director, receiving a $500 donation from Maria Kuehl, Juliana Coulas, and Judy Bohn, members of the Alice/Locksley-Rankin branch in North Renfrew District Women’s Institute.  The Women’s Institute is a world organization founded in Ontario at Stoney Creek in 1897 by Adelaide Hoodless and Erland Lee, because of the loss of Adelaide’s child to contaminated milk.  The movement spread across Ontario then across Canada and around the world.  The organization offers educational programming and community support, works towards personal growth for all women, and members belong to branches which are within Districts and Areas.
