GUINNESS CHOCOLATE GINGERBREAD CAKE

1 C Guinness beer (or other dark beer)
1 C molasses
1/2 tsp soda
2 C flour
1/4 C cocoa
2 tbsp ginger
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3 large eggs
1 1/4 C brown sugar
3/4 C white sugar
3/4 C cooking oil

Preheat oven to 350 F & grease a large bundt pan.
Pour beer and molasses into a large saucepan and bring to a boil.  Remove from heat, stir in baking soda.  Let cool.  Combine dry ingredients.  Beat eggs well and beat in sugars and oil and stir in the beer/molasses mixture.  Add dry ingredients (batter will be runny).  Pour batter into pan and bake for 55 – 65 minutes.  Cool cake in pan for about 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.  Dust with icing sugar before serving.
