GRANDMA’S JELLY ROLL

4 eggs, separated

1 tsp. baking powder

1 C white sugar

1 tsp. salt

¼ C cold water

1 C flour

Icing sugar

Jam or jelly

Beat the 4 egg whites until fluffy and then add the sugar and beat until stiff.  Add the egg yolks, water, flour baking powder & salt and mix.  Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and pour the batter onto the sheet.  Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.  When bakes, turn the roll out onto a wet tea towel and carefully roll up the cake and then unroll.  Spread the jam or jelly over the cake and roll up.  Sprinkle the top with icing sugar.
