
4 cups flour
1 cup butter
1 tsp cream tartar
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
Mix thoroughly first five ingredients and add one tbsp cold water mixed with 1/2 tsp baking soda. Pat into cookie shapes and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes until done.
