GINGER SNAPS

¾ C butter

2 C white sugar

2 eggs, well beaten

2 tsp. white vinegar

1 ½ tsp. soda

½ C molasses

3 ¾ C flour

3 tsp. ginger

1 tsp. cinnamon

½ tsp. ground cloves

Cream the butter and sugar and add the eggs and stir in the vinegar.  Combine the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture.  Form the dough into small balls and place on greased cookie sheets.  Bake at 325°F for about 12 minutes.  Store in an airtight container.
