We all know that winter is right around the corner.
If the lower temperatures and this week’s snowfall aren’t clear indicators, the fact that CAA is publishing its annual tips for the winter driving season will tell you that Old Man Winter will soon arrive.
CAA is asking drivers to have their snow tires installed, check your wipers and washer fluid, your brakes, your headlights, and have your battery tested.
You should also have items in your car that will help you through the winter months. These include: an ice scraper and snow brush; a shovel; blankets; a First Aid kit; booster cables; extra washer fluid; and candles.
You never know when an emergency will arise, so best to be prepared, says CAA.
