Residents of 41 Vimy Boulevard will return home this fall, this according to Carol Neill, General Manager of the Renfrew County Housing Corporation.
Neill met with the residents on Monday May 25th to inform them of the status of the apartment complex and when they would be expected to return.
It was back on Wednesday, January 7th when a fire occurred on the second floor of the 42-unit apartment structure. The complex, owned and operated by the Renfrew County Housing Corporation, suffered heavy fire, smoke and water damage in two units and an additional 10 units were also heavily impacted by smoke and water damage.
Neill thanked all the tenants for their patience and noted that when they do return, they will enjoy a number of upgrades including new kitchen cabinets, new fire alarm system, new roof, upgraded electrical system, additional building insulation, and a fresh coat of paint.
