Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village – Kids Program
July 2 - July 31
Kids Days Program and “Museum in a Box” Rentals
Due to the impacts of COVID-19 the Museum has modified its Kids Days program this Summer. The Kids Day program will happen Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The program is shortened this year to allow for proper cleaning and sanitizing before, during and after the program. The ages for the program this Summer are also modified and will be for children aged 8 to 12. The Kids Days will be run out of the main Museum building this year to allow for proper physical distancing of kids. Fun activities, crafts and games will still be offered like in years past.
If parents are not interested in sending their children to the Kids Day program this year the Museum is offering a “Museum in a Box” where parents can rent activity boxes for their kids starting at $15.00 a week per child. These activities will be customizable depending on the age of the child and will be full of fun heritage crafts, games, activities and recipes for kids to do on their summer holidays. Please contact the Museum at 613-735-0517 or by email if you are interested in the Kids Days program or renting a “Museum in a Box” for your children.
The Kids Day Program would not be possible without the help of its sponsor the Alice and Fraser Minor Sports Association.
The Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village is the largest Museum in Renfrew County with more than 10,000 artifacts among its collection. Located in Pembroke, the Museum is owned and operated by the Ottawa Valley Historical Society and is funding by the municipalities of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley.
