Peter Emon is fresh off a win in the race for reeve in Renfrew, and he now has his sights set on another re-election, this one as Warden of Renfrew County.
Emon, who remains as Greater Madawaska mayor until the new Renfrew council is sworn in December 1st, is also serving his second term as warden. He will officially file his papers in the days ahead, but is looking to become a three-term warden. He would be the first to do that since Petawawa’s Bob Sweet from 2004 to 2006.
With a number of new faces around the county council table, Emon believes his experience and leadership is needed.
Election of the new warden will take place during the inaugural County council meeting on December 16th.
