If you are in the mood for an Irish party, then Douglas is the place to be this afternoon and tonight as the 4th Annual Lions Club St. Patrick’s Day Parade is ready to roll.

And there is still time to get a float into the parade. All you have to do is show up at St. Michael’s School any time around 4 o’clock this afternoon. The parade leaves the school staging area at 7 o’clock sharp, but the party will be rolling throughout the afternoon with music at the school, as well as downtown in front of the Douglas Tavern. That will be hosted by Art Jamieson.

Valley Heritage Radio will also be downtown with on-air personalities Rob Jamieson, Brian Hamilton and Sheila Vandekemp announcing the parade from beside the tavern, while Jason Marshall and Gerry Bimm will broadcast the event live on 98-7 this evening.

Grab your green and head to Douglas, the place to be for the St. Patty’s party of the season.
