With income tax season right around the corner, the Killaloe OPP would like to remind the public that the long-standing Canada Revenue Agency scam continues to surface around the region. Police want you to know that the CRA will not call you and demand payment and they will not ask for personal information over the phone that they already have.

Never give out personal information such as account numbers … or your SIN number … over the phone … or through email … and always confirm the source of the call.

If you have any questions … the OPP advise you to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501  or visit the website at for more information.
