CP Canadians win four in a row

0 Defending Jr A champs now 4-0 after shootout win

In Jr A hockey last night the Carleton Place Canadians kept their early season perfect record intact with a 3-2 shootout win over Cornwall.

Wesley Baker and Nicolas Mucci scored in the shootout for the Canadians, while goalie Guillaume Therien stopped three shooters, after turning aside 38 shots, to pick up the win. Baker and Bryce VanHorn also scored for the Canadians who now have four wins in four games.

Carleton Place hosts Pembroke on Saturday at 5 o’clock for their home opener. Pembroke doesn’t have a home game until Sept. 14th.

Also last night, the Smiths Falls Bears now have a 2-and-2 record after a 2-1 win over Kanata. Brandon Lesway and Darius Gibson scored for the Bears, with Arik Bretton replying for the Lasers.
