A 51-year-old Ottawa man is dead and two others are seriously hurt following a head-on collision on Highway 17 Monday afternoon.
The incident happened just west of Greenwood Road in Whitewater Region Township around 2 p.m. and a section of highway remained closed until 1:30 this morning.
A westbound pickup truck collided with an eastbound SUV and Troy Tofflemire from Ottawa the passenger in the SUV was killed at the scene.
The 19-year-old female SUV driver was airlifted to hospital in critical condition while a 32-year-old man who was driving the truck was taken to hospital via ambulance with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation continues.
