2 C flour
2 tbsp white sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
¼ C butter
1 C milk
Filling:
1/3 C butter
1 C brown sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
Mix the flour, white sugar, baking powder & salt together. Cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Make a well in the centre of mixture and pour the milk into the well. Stir until the mixture forms a soft dough (a little more milk can be added). Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 8 – 10 times. Roll into a rectangle about 1/3″ thickness.
Cream together the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Drop a teaspoonful into 12 greased muffin tins.
Spread the remaining cinnamon mixture over the dough. Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 12 slices. Place, cut side down, into the muffin tins. Bake at 400°F for 20 – 25 minutes.
