1 C raisins

1 ½ C water

Boil the raisins and water together for 10 minutes and let cool.

1 ½ C whole wheat flour

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp soda

½ tsp salt

½ C butter

¾ C white sugar

1 egg, beaten


Combine the dry ingredients and set aside.  Cream together the butter, sugar and egg.  Add the dry ingredients alternately with the raisin mixture to the butter mixture.  Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
