I’ve always wanted to be a “Valley Girl” and after almost 25 years in radio broadcasting, here I am! I graduated from Sudbury School of the Performing Arts as a Dance major, Drama minor and from the Radio Broadcasting Program at Canadore College of Applied Arts and Technology in North Bay. I have worked in radio in various shifts in Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Fort St. John, B.C., Chatham, North Bay, Fort Frances, Cornwall and now here at Valley Heritage Radio! As you can tell, I love to travel! I
have a cat named “Kat” (and would like to get another), but I am not a crazy cat lady. I love to be on stage acting and directing and hope to continue that in the Ottawa Valley. I also try to “carry a tune” but need to learn some country songs (got any suggestions?). I am a science fiction geek…I get that from my Dad! I am an advocate for seniors and animal rights and I look forward to getting out there and becoming a part of the community. If ever you need someone to MC or help out at a community event, I’m your girl!
I am very excited and feel blessed that I am here in the Ottawa Valley and at Valley Heritage Radio. It is truly a unique and exciting place to work and I thank all my co-workers, volunteers and listeners for making me feel so welcome and at home here! I hope to set roots and be here a very long time!
I’m on the air weekdays between 2-6pm and bring you a great mix of your favorite music. I absolutely love local Valley musicians (you can’t find talent like this anywhere else) and am proud to bring you Valley Music Thursday’s where, from 4-6, I play nothing but Valley artists. And every Thursday after 5 a local Valley musician comes in the studio to perform live and we get to find out more about them and their music. Every weekday at 2pm, make sure you tune in for your “Back-to-Back-to-Back-to-Back, Back to the Classics”, where I play 4 of your favorite classic country songs back-to-back and tell you the history of the artist and song. You can also request your 4 favorite classic songs by sending them to me at email@example.com
